Mercatto
Mercatto has just undergone a major transformation that has upgraded and refined the entire restaurant. Accents are in wood and stone, complete with a ceiling of exposed wooden beams.
There is now a
cosy bar area where a ceiling high chalkboard lists the specials of the day. Behind the bar is a table which will easily sit ten, and its surrounded by hundreds of bottles of wine. The table is lit by an
unusual chandelier made from tree branches.
Tables in the main room range from two seaters to a large bench that can seat twelve. The
kitchen is fully visible at the back of the place and there is a
full take-out counter by the front door.
Outside is a
street patio that is fully fenced and surrounded by potted trees. The menu has a wide range of choice that centers on Italian specialties.
Being open so early allows you to
catch a breakfast before work, and the open evening hours allow you to dine here after work. Being open 14 hours a day means that you could eat here three times a day, five days a week. It is an ideal place to stop for a drink after work.
Mercatto is now also open for dinner on Saturdays.
